I'd buy a book or two first, then hit websites once you know what they are
talking about.
You might find these in your city's library or used elsewhere:

Inside AutoCAD 2002
by David Harrington

AutoCAD / LT 2002 Video Training CD
by Tim Kugler

Instant AutoCAD: Essentials Using AutoCAD LT 2002
by Stephen J. Ethier, Christine A. Ethier

AutoCAD LT 2002: Basics Through Advanced

I don't think anyone can really "teach" you from here. These forums are
provided to ask questions, not give tutorials. What Dean was pointing out
was that you would be better off to get aquainted with the software so you
know what you need to ask. CAD whether it's full cad, LT or some vertical,
is pretty complicated......to do well anyway.

Ok...ill do that sometime today...but in the meantime...how can you tell
how many people are online, because i hate posting in forums where nobodies
online...not cool..

You have to learn to walk before you can run, you have to learn how to stand
on your feet before you can walk.

Right now you just found out you have feet and legs ;)

Why not just start LT and draw: make mistakes, fix them, learn from them. No
book or website is going to do that much for you.

Welcome to the discussion group. These groups are not designed
for live chat like chat rooms but as written Q&A. Dean and Matt
have given you their usual sage advice. Read the help files,
"play" with the software and then come back and ask specific
questions. The more experienced folk here enjoy helping newbies
but no one can actually train you on line. You might also want to
read some of the almost 14,000 past messages in this group to get
a flavor of the software and what it will do.

If I had to pick one site for basic information it would probably be
www.afralisp.com I don't know of any chat rooms for CAD.

I just started AutoCAD LT 2002 about...5 minutes ago. I'm 16 years old and i need some websters that will teach me everything i know. A webster that will get me started and eventually help me to a point where i don't need help. My school will be teaching Geometry/AutoCAD next year so i need to get started early. So any listed websters would be helpful.
